Buying the most popular system isn’t always the best thing to do when you ponder over to purchase a new console. Nevertheless, consumers decide on the basis of sales figure, or whether or not the developer is Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft.

These things hardly matters when we talk of gaming experience. The one who delivers best is the jack of the trade.

We compare the Nintendo Wii and the Sony PSP3 based on the only measure that matters. We haven’t taken the sales figure into consideration, these may be the bread and butter of the industry hardcore, but the truth about who is winning the console wars isn’t in sales figures; it’s in the games and gaming experience altogether.

Which one is better?

Sony started sturdily, but failed to consistent in flow of well-rated games in 2005. Nintendo started lethargic, but managed to deliver a series of brilliant games in the second half of the year. One year in, both are neck-to-neck. No matter how powerful or well-designed a system is, none of it matters unless the games are fun to play.

1. Reception by the customers

The PlayStation 3 received generally unfavorable reviews soon after its launch, with many websites and reviewers criticizing its high price and lack of quality launch games. However, after a series of price revisions, Blu-ray’s victory over HD-DVD, and the release of several well received titles.

Nintendo Wii was well received after its exhibition at E3 2006. At the event, Nintendo’s console won the Game Critics Awards for Best of Show and Best Hardware. Grand Award Winner in Home Entertainment In the December 2006 issue of Popular Science. The system was also chosen as one of PC World magazine’s 20 Most Innovative Products of the Year. Nintendo was awarded an Emmy for Game Controller Innovation by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The PS3 was given the number-eight spot on PC World magazine’s list of “The Top 21 Tech Screw-up of 2006,” where it was criticized for being “Late, Expensive, and Incompatible.”

Wii not all about being about portable systems, consoles, and so forth, but that it induces everyone to play right from kids over 3 yrs to their grandparents.

2. Hardware

The system weighs 1.2 kg (2.7 lb), which makes it the lightest of the three major seventh generation consoles. Lighter that PSP3. PSP3 Hands-on accounts describe the controller as being noticeably heavier than the Nintendo Wii.

3. Downloading

The updates are downloaded manually from the PlayStation Network directly to the PS3 and subsequently installed. While in the case of Wii it is done automatically.

4. Customizable characters.

Nintendo Wii characters like Mii takes an edge on PSP3 since you can create your own player.

5. Games

This is the only arena where wii lags behind to a certain extent as PSP3 offers more games than Wii, however games like Wii fit (virtual-fitness) is enough to differentiate from PSP3.

Any one who plays games on there computer or even on a console like a play station two, x- box, game cube, can tell you that the games today have a lot of technology put into them. It’s that technology that going to create more and more business for the computer world.

It’s really hard to tell which one. The gaming world or the computer world has more of the control in this market. What I do know is that both of them are not going to be going any where soon. As long as there are gamers there will always be a demand for better games. If there is always going to be a demand for better games there will always be a demand for better technology to run the games

The release of the Playstation 3 console (a.k.a PS3) has certainly taken gaming to another level. The PS3 has transformed gaming with breathtaking graphics and super fast processing power that only a few years ago were found on IBM super computers. However these capabilities come at a cost especially when you consider purchasing games, if these games get damaged you can pay 60 to 100 dollars to replace them. If you look on the internet or participate in PS3 gaming forums you’ll find lots of information of this topic. You most likely have dvd burner software already on your PC but you’ll find that when you insert your PS3 game into the burner, the software won’t recognise it.

Fortunately there this software out there that can backup PS3 games, the process is quite simple, all you need is a PC with dvd burner and special PS3 copying software. Another thing to take into consideration is the brand of blank dvds to copy ps3 games. I personally like Sony or Verbatim and have had good results with these. Using cheap dvd blanks can result in loss of quality of your PS3 copies.

To burn PS3 games, firstly put the game into the dvd burner and select the option (which is found in most dvd burner software) to create a image of the game. This process can take about 20-30 minutes depending on the computers CPU and dvd burner speed. After the image is created remove the PS3 game and in insert a blank dvd into your dvd burner and copy the PS3 game image onto the blank dvd.

It should take 10 to 20 minutes to burn PS3 games to blank dvd its easier than you think!

Burning you PS3 games has its benefits and can save you lots of money and in a matter of hours you can have all your PS3 games backed up allowing you to preserve your originals.
